Just around the corner from
Kalkanís main marina is another inlet of the Mediterranean, known as Kalamar
Bay. On the headland jutting into the little haven stands the Hotel Xanthos. Hotel Xanthos draws its name from the Lycian capital of 3,000 years ago and the exterior and interior styling recalls the opulence of the grandest days of the civilisation. On arrival you will be greeted beneath an ornate chandelier suspended from a huge stained glass atrium which is a splendid way to start your holiday. Marble floors, imposing lifesize statues and elegant balustrades all combine to create a sense of life in the smart lane. There is a large seawater swimming pool,

Club Xanthos has all facilities for a relaxing holiday including
a fitness centre and at a small additional cost,Turkish bath, Sauna and tennis.
There are a couple of restaurants nearby. The attractive rooms are set in separate blocks, connected by steps and walkways, two of which are situated at the other side of the road from the main building. Each is tastefully decorated and air-conditioned with telephone, satellite TV, minibar. balcony and ensuite shower and WC. Most have a sea view.
